1. Controller
The controller for this website is Gerald Docenko, Goetheweg 6, 85748 Garching near Munich, Germany. Contact: gerald@docenko.eu, phone +49 89 80959609.
2. Website and hosting
knx-mcp.com is operated on a server administered by Gerald Docenko. Infrastructure is provided by Hetzner Online GmbH, Industriestr. 25, 91710 Gunzenhausen, Germany. When pages are requested, the web server processes technically necessary connection data such as IP address, time, requested resource, HTTP status, browser identifier and, where supplied, the referrer. The purposes are delivery, stability and security of the website; the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Server logs are retained only as long as required for operation and security analysis and are then removed through server-side rotation unless legal obligations require longer retention.
3. Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use analytics, marketing or tracking cookies and does not load external fonts or tracking scripts. The browser stores only your light/dark theme preference (knxmcp_theme) and, after you explicitly choose a language, your language preference (knxmcp_locale_preference). When you visit the English homepage, the browser language may direct you to /de/ or /ru/. Every language version remains directly accessible. Local storage values are not automatically transmitted to the server, although the requested page address is processed as part of a normal website request. You can clear both preferences in your browser.
4. Email contact
Business email communication is processed through Microsoft 365; account management uses Microsoft Entra ID. When you contact us, sender/recipient addresses, message contents, attachments and technical metadata are processed to handle your request. Contract-related enquiries are processed under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; other business communication under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Correspondence is deleted after completion when no statutory retention or legal-claims reason requires further storage.
5. KNX-MCP app and project data
KNX-MCP runs inside ETS on the user’s computer. The MCP endpoint is local by default. The app does not operate a Gerald Docenko cloud service and does not automatically transmit ETS project data to Gerald Docenko. Data may however reach the MCP/AI client chosen by the user and its provider; the user’s configuration and that provider’s terms and privacy notice apply. Diagnostic or support data are processed only when the user saves them or sends them for a support request.
6. Optional network access
If the MCP endpoint is exposed to the network, the user enables this deliberately and protects it with an access key. The endpoint uses HTTP without TLS; network access should therefore only be used in a trusted or additionally protected environment, for example through a VPN.
7. Your rights
Where Gerald Docenko processes personal data as controller, statutory rights may include access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability and objection as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
8. No automated decisions on the website
The website performs no profiling and no automated decisions with legal effect. These notices will be updated if the website or its technical processing changes.
